We have tried very hard at our house to eat snacks that have some nutritional value. Carrots and celery are always cut and ready-to-eat in the fridge. Apples are also always on hand. They have been a popular snack so far, but I have begun to see that they are losing their appeal.
Any snack suggestions? What creative and nutritious snacks have you found popular?

We mostly do fruit and veggies as well, but on the occasions that the kids get bored with them... The company that makes Clif bars also has a kids line of fruit snacks. Since they are organic I don't feel guilty giving them to the kids. Larabars are also a snack that the kids love-apple pie and cherry pie are they're favorite flavors.
my kids LOVE to snack on crackers, so I make sure to give them whole grain crackers, and try to get them to eat cheese with it. They also love cereal, I have to limit it, or they'd eat it all day. We also do a lot of fruit - lately they love the little Cutie clementines. They're easy to peal, and they're super sweet, and the kids love them.
Smoothies never seem to lose their appeal to my 2 yr old. and I can put all the fruits and veggies in there he needs! He prefers the yogurt based smoothies and they whip up so fast in our magic bullet :)
A family favorite at our house is Special Salad. 1 tub of fat free cool whip, 1 tub fat free cottage (called "college" here) cheese, 1 package of your favorite sugar free jello (we like pink), and a can of pineapple chunks, drained. Mix it together - it tastes good and it's good for you! I believe the real name was Cottage Cheese Salad - but my mom always called it Special Salad because I wouldn't eat cottage cheese!
Not that it's all that good for you, but I keep a box of Frosted Mini-Wheats in the car as an emergency snack to avoid going through a drive through when someone is starving!
I always serve cut up fruit as a snack or at least part of it. Sometimes pair it with cheese, or cheerios (the organic version) and my daughter loves pirates booty-veggie booty (found in the organic/natural food section of the grocery). :)
Well Sherrie, I am no help since I pretty much give my kids the same snacks as you! Cheese and crackers and apples... I guess great minds think alike! :)
